Course Details

INTRODUCTION : |
|

The institute is first in the
Eastern region in India and is an Authorized
Training Centre approved by IATA Aviation Training
& Development Institute, Montreal, Canada.
This is a world wide recognized course, which is
conducted in English. STEPS is the only institute
in Eastern India authorized to teach up to
Management Level. Duration of each course is 150 hours (04 months - 06 months) approximately.
The IATA-UFTAA
Diploma Course Examination is held twice in a
calendar year in the months of March and
September. The examination is organized by IATA
Montreal through its Local Coordinator Air India
Ltd. in Calcutta. |

IATA/UFTAA TRAVEL AND TOURISM TRAINING PROGRAMME
- LEVEL 1 : FOUNDATION |
|
| |
The 13
modules in the Foundation Level will provide you
with an understanding of the travel and tourism
industry, the practicalities of the travel
professional's role in this industry, the
importance of exceeding customer expectations, and
the role of technology in the travel industry.
In addition, you will become familiar with
related subjects such as industry regulations,
codes, world geography, air fares and ticketing
including e-ticketing, visa and health
requirements, as well as tour
programmes. Improve your career

Level 1 now includes GDS
training!
Eligibility
Recommended pre-
qualifications:
Graduate
or at least Passed Higher Secondary. The lessons
imparted in the institute are as prescribed by
IATA Montreal. |

Duration of each course is 200 hours i.e,
06 months approximately. The IATA-UFTAA Diploma
Course Examination is held twice in a calendar
year in the months of March and September. The
examination is organised by IATA Montreal through
its Local Coordinator Air India Ltd. in Calcutta.
By
successfully completing the two-paper
examination*, you will become qualified as a
holder of the IATA/UFTAA International Travel and
Tourism Foundation Diploma and will be entitled to
add the designation "DTTF" (Diploma in Travel and
Tourism Foundations) after your name.
A student is awarded a
'Diploma in Travel & Tourism Foundation
obtaining (75%) pass marks in both papers, on
obtaining (85%) in both papers, the student will
be awarded a Diploma with Distinction.

|

The 9
modules contained within the consultant level
help you understand more complex operations as
well as the consultative approach to selling
Travel & Tourism.
By successfully
completing the two -paper examination, you
become qualified with the IATA/UFTAA
International Travel and Tourism Consultant
Diploma and will be able to use the letters
''DTTC'' (Diploma in Travel and Tourism
Consulting) after your name.
Recommended
pre - qualifications :
the Foundation Certificate or the standard Diploma from
the previous IATA/UFTAA programme, as well as some
work experience. |

The seven modules in the Management Level will
prepare you for higher level responsibilities such as accounting, staff supervision, negations and product development.
By
successfully completing the two-paper
examination, you will become a qualified holder
of the IATA/UFTAA International Travel and
Tourism Management Diploma and will be entitled
to add the letters "DTTM" (Diploma in Travel
Tourism Management) after your name.
